MANILA, Philippines—In anticipation of heavy rains typhoon “Glenda” (international name: Rammasun) will bring, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) suspended the number coding scheme on Tuesday.
Starting 2 p.m., number coding scheme will be lifted, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino announced.
On Tuesdays, plate numbers ending in 3 and 4 are prohibited to ply major thoroughfares from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. with window hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Metro Manila has been placed under storm signal number 2 due to ‘Glenda.’
