MANILA, Philippines—Businesswoman Lualhati Lim Tan dropped the cases she filed against Gina Lou C. Ong in Cebu City courts. According to Atty. Jose Caringal, the counsel of Ong in the said cases, the parties have already executed a Universal Settlement which has been submitted to the court for its final approval.

The said cases became the basis of several news reports which were previously published in the Inquirer and other publications.

Caringal further clarified the earlier news reports that the cases were already cleared as they are still technically on-going pending court approval of the Universal Settlement and the Affidavit of Desistance filed by Tan.
