ITCZ to bring rains to parts of Mindanao; LPA spotted east of Visayas–Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines–An intertropical convergence zone that is affecting Mindanao will bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms to Davao and the Caraga region on Friday, the state weather bureau said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, or Pagasa.
Pagasa said moderate to strong winds coming from the southwest to south will prevail over Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the south to southwest will prevail over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas, Pagasa added.
Meanwhile, a low pressure area was spotted east of Visayas, Aldczar Aurelio told INQUIRER.net.
Article continues after this advertisementIf it follows a westward track, he said it would enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Monday.
If it intensifies into a tropical depression, it will be locally named Glenda, Aurelio added.
