Dr. Bienvenito Aldanese; 80
MANILA, Philippines–Dr. Bienvenito Blanco Aldanese died at the age of 80 after a lingering illness on June 30.
After graduating from San Juan de Letran High School in 1952, he took up medicine at the University of Sto. Tomas (Class 1959) under Prof. Romeo Gustilo of the UST Faculty of Medical and Surgery. He later went to Australia for postgraduate studies.
Aldanese spent much of his professional life in the country’s prestigious institutions like St. Luke’s Medical Center, Makati Medical Center, The Medical City and Asian Medical Center.
A retired brigadier general, he also worked at the Armed Forces Medical Center. Aldanese also taught at the Far Eastern University Institute of Medicine. Humble and likable by nature, he was also well-admired by his patients whom he served with dedication and compassion.
He was buried on July 5 at Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City. Aldanese is survived by his wife, Lita Abellia, and children Doey, Melissa, Weng, Titchie and Alfred.
