Early evening rain floods parts of Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines – An early evening rain Thursday left several parts of Metro Manila flooded, stranding commuters and slowing traffic.

Metro Manila Development Authority said flood on C5 (on ramp, northbound and southbound) reached knee deep, making it impassable to vehicles.

It also reported that a vehicular accident on Edsa-Ayala (north bound) service road involving two buses has caused heavy traffic in the area.

The MMDA also said that:

–          as of 7:56 p.m. gutter-deep flood hit Roxas Boulevard Coastal Road. The road was passable but traffic was slow;

–          at the Edsa-Magallanes, gutter deep flood also greeted motorists;

–          As of 8:35 p.m., traffic was moderate along C5 northbound near  Market Market , Bagong Ilog,  Julia Vargas and Aurora-Ateneo.
