The late surgeon and patriot Jose Luna was born on June 28, 1861, in Trozo, Manila. He was the municipal physician of Binondo from 1888 to 1896. During the Filipino-American War, Luna served as a medical officer in the Filipino Army. He died on Jan. 21, 1917.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
