More individuals in pork scam post bail

MANILA, Philippines – More individuals accused in the pork barrel scam on Monday posted bail for their graft charges after the issuance of a warrant of arrest.

The public officials who posted bail are:

-Budget Undersecretary Mario Relampagos and budget personnel Rosario Nunez, Lalaine Paule and Marilou Bare – P165,000 bail each from the graft case with Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada

-Ma. Rosalinda Lacsamana, group manager, Technology Resource Center – P120,000 bail from the graft case with Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., P30,000 bail from graft case with Senator Estrada

-Gregoria Buenaventura of the National Livelihood Development Center – P90,000 bail from graft case with Revilla

-Encarnita Christina Munsod, former support service supervisor, National Agribusiness Corp. (Nabcor) – P60,000 bail from graft case with Revilla

-Chita Jalandoni, director, NLDC — P75,000 bail from graft in Estrada’s case
– Gondelina Amata, NLDC head – P75,000 bail from graft in Estrada’s case
– Francisco Figura, group manager, Technology Resource Center (TRC)  — P30,000 bail from graft in Estrada’s case; P60,000 bail from graft in Senator Juan Ponce Enrile’s case
-Marivic Jover, accountant, TRC — P30,000 bail from graft in Estrada’s case; P60,000 bail from graft in Enrile’s case
-Consuelo Espiritu, budget officer, TRC  — P30,000 bail from graft in Enrile’s case

Relampagos and the three budget officials were allowed by the fifth division to reduce their bail to P165,000 from P330,000.

On Friday, they were given a 50-percent discount by the first division so each paid P240,000 for 16 counts of graft from P480,000.

At least 20 individuals posted bail on Friday.

So far, the anti-graft court has issued arrest warrants against Estrada and Revilla for their plunder and graft charges over the pork barrel scam. Both senators had also surrendered.
