The bullet-riddled body of a man was found Saturday afternoon at a vacant lot in Quezon City.

A group of children, who wandered into the lot at the Palatao Compound along Majaas Street in Barangay Payatas, stumbled onto the body and reported their find to barangay officials.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) investigators described the body to be of a man, between 50 and 55 years old, five-foot-four inches tall, of medium build, fair, and clad in a blue shirt marked “Dynamic Engine Rebuilders” worn over a pair of brown short pants.

Fabreag said that the body was found at around 2:30 pm, Saturday, by a group of kids who had been playing at the vacant lot. The children immediately told barangay public safety officer Elias Paclebar who was at a nearby barangay outpost.

Paclebar verified the report and, on confirmation, immediately called in the discovery to the police.

The case investigator said that the body bore two bullet wounds in the head and another in the chest. Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered two bullet casings from a .45 pistol.

Fabreag said that no witness has surfaced although the victim was killed at the lot and said that he is verifying the motorcycle registration with the Land Transportation Office  to possibly identify the slain man.
