Today, June 16, is the 76th birth anniversary of National Artist for Dance Ramon Obusan. Born in 1938, Obusan is known as a choreographer, dancer, stage designer and artistic director. In 1971, he founded the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group. He was awarded the Patnubay ng Kalinangan award by the City of Manila in 1992 and the Gawad CCP Para sa Sining in 1993.
