SC orders Sandigan to proceed with regular raffle of plunder raps vs ‘pork’ senators
MANILA, Philippines – The Supreme Court directed the Sandiganbayan to proceed with the regular raffle of plunder cases that were filed against three senators this Friday.
The Sandiganbayan on Wednesday received the formal notice from the high tribunal to raffle off to the regular courts the cases against Senators Juan Ponce-Enrile, Ramon Revilla Jr. and Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada.
The high court also required the anti-graft court to comment within three days on the request of the Ombudsman to create a special division to hear pork barrel scam cases.
