Road safety campaign targeting Quezon City kids launched
The Quezon City government has launched a road safety campaign for daycare students in the city. Department of Public Safety and Order Chief Elmo San Diego said that during an informal survey of pedestrians, motorists and commuters, only a few were aware of the importance of road signs such “Ped Xing” which stands for pedestrian crossing. “We realized that most of the problems among adults stem from their lack of discipline when they were raised as children. The older ones now are harder to teach, that’s why we want to start early and start with the young ones,” said San Diego.—Penelope P. Endozo
