Amid calls to ban the concert of British-Irish boy band One Direction next year at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, the local government clarified that the group’s promoter has yet to apply for a concert permit.
City Hall spokesperson Jonathan Malaya on Wednesday said that “if and when the promoters apply for a permit, they will go through the regular process. They will also be advised that their concert must consider the sensibilities of the audience and that the show should not be objectionable or offensive, or promote bad practices.”
The popular band drew controversy recently after a leaked video showed two members smoking marijuana.
