Lawyer: Napoles has left hospital but…
MANILA, Philippines—Alleged pork barrel mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles has already left the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak), her counsel lawyer Bruce Rivera said, but the Philippine National Police (PNP) quickly denied the lawyer’s claim.
Despite the police denial, Rivera told reporters in an ambush interview at OsMak that his client has left the hospital.
But Chief Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP Public Information chief, maintained in a phone interview that Napoles has not yet been escorted out of the hospital by the police security forces.
He said this was confirmed by Calabarzon police regional director Chief Superintendent Jesus Gatchalian.
Sindac earlier said that she is set to leave “past dinner time.”

Asked what time Napoles left OsMak, he said he cannot divulge the departure time “for security purposes.”
It can be seen in front of the OsMak that security escorts and a police ambulance are on standby.
However, when Rivera was asked why there were still security escorts, he said Napoles have left some of her things inside her ward at seventh floor.
