MANILA, Philippines—The Senate blue ribbon committee on Wednesday received a copy of Benhur Luy’s digital records containing alleged pork barrel scam transactions between businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles and public officials.

No less than National Bureau of Investigation director Virgilio Mendez turned over the records contained in a compact disk (CD) to Senator Teofisto Guingona III, chairman of the committee.

The CD was sealed and was opened in front of the media by the chief of the NBI’s Cybercrime Division.

Mendez said the CD contained 31,700 plus pages.

“If printed, it will fill a whole room,” Guingona told reporters, pertaining to the digital files.

Mendez said he would leave it up to the committee to decide whether or not to make the contents of the CD public.

Guingona assured the committee would release to the public Luy’s digital records.

Luy is the principal whistleblower in the pork barrel scam allegedly masterminded by Napoles, his former employer.
