PCG trainee dies of heat stroke while in training

MANILA, Philippines—A female trainee of the Philippine Coast Guard died while in training, its spokesman said.

Commander Armand Balilo, PCG spokesman, said that trainee Vanessa Inte, 22, died of heat stroke while she was in training Sunday.

Balilo added that Inte was training at the headquarters of the PCG Northern Luzon in San Fernando La Union.

Balilo said that Inte’s remains were brought to Davao for her wake and burial.
