THE nine-day novena Masses leading to the feast of St. Padre Pio de Pietrelcina is ongoing from Sept. 14 to Sept. 22 at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Blessed Pedro Calungsod, Archbishop’s Palace, D. Jakosalem Street, Cebu City.
The novena Masses are scheduled at 6 p.m.
On Sept. 22, the procession of the statue and relic of Padre Pio will be held at 4 p.m. The procession will pass through D. Jakosalem Street, Benedicto Street and Rahman Street before going back to the Archbishop’s Palace.
On the feast day, Sept. 23, a Pontifical Mass will be celebrated by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma at the Sacred Heart Parish Church on D. Jakosalem Street, Cebu City at 6 p.m.
The veneration and kissing of the relic will follow after the Mass.
The contemplative community invites all the faithful and devotees to attend the nine-day novena for the 10th feast day anniversary of St. Padre Pio at the Blessed Pedro Calungsod Shrine. All devotees are encouraged to bring their sick relatives during the entire novena and the pontifical Mass.
