A fire blazed through a two-story residential building in Old Santa Mesa street, Manila at 3:33 a.m. Damage to property was estimated at P1 million pesos.
The fire, which reached fourth alarm, was declared under control by 4:40 a.m.
Police said four men entered one unit of the building before the fire started.
Meanwhile, a fire struck a garment factory Mega Fields Garment along San Francisco street in Karuhatan, Valenzuela city at around 7 a.m.
The fire, which burned 90 percent of the building, was declared out by 8:30 a.m.
A 29-year-old Nigerian identified as Gerry Gideon was also injured after a fire hit the church of Team Ministries International at the corner of Kamuning Road and T. Gener street in Quezon city.
The fire started at 6:45 a.m. in the room of Gideon, who sustained burns on his arm.
The fire was declared out by 7:05 a.m. Damage to property was estimated at P500,000.
