FORMER University of the Visayas standout and current Ateneo ace Greg Slaughter is set to add another piece of hardware to his collection after his selection to the UAAP Mythical Five squad for the 74th UAAP basketball tournament.
Slaughter had to settle for runner-up honors in the race for the Most Valuable Player award, a race that was won by National University’s Bobby Ray Parks, who garnered 843 statistical points. Slaughter, a former Cesafi MVP, finished with 692.
The duo will be joined in the prestigious group by Far Eastern University’s Aldrech Ramos, Ateneo’s “Phenom” Kiefer Ravena and Adamson’s super-athletic wingman, Alex Nuyles.
Cameroonian center Karim Abdul of University of Santo Tomas was third with 60.38 SPs average but was disqualified for any individual award because of his one-game suspension for two unsportsmanlike fouls. He was replaced by Ravena out of the Mythical Five.
