THE REIGNING champions and the league’s top contender will be pushed to their limits as Kia and RDAK were defeated by JAPFA and Kunstof, respectively, to send their quarterfinal matches to a do-or-die game next week in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletics Association (SHAABAA).
In the games held last Thursday at the old Sacred Heart School campus along Mango Avenue, Kunstof edged Kia, 47-46, in a low-scoring affair marked by the brilliance of Myko Datan, who scored eight of his 17 in the crucial final period.
Meanwhile, JAPFA reduced RDAK down to size with their run-and-gun offense as they pulled off a 66-52 win.
