MANILA, Philippines—The water level in Angat Dam on Sunday reached near critical level.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said as of noon the water in the dam measured 180.02 meters, prompting hydrologist to start hourly monitoring of the reservoir.
Around 6 a.m., Pagasa’s Jason Bausa said, “the water in Angat Dam dropped to 180.12 meters,” and by noon it went down further to 180.02 meters.
The critical level is 180 meters.
