MANILA, Philippines – After over an hour of walking under the heat of the sun, Labor Day protesters from Welcome Rotonda reached Liwasang Bonifacio past 1p.m.
Welcome Rotonda was one of the assembly areas for the protest in Metro Manila. Demonstrators marched to Liwasang Bonifacio for a short program and will later go to Mendiola for a bigger rally.
The march snarled traffic in parts of España and Quiapo.
Protests are also held nationwide.
