BOSTON—Lawyers for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev say they remain concerned about being “adequately prepared” for a November trial in his death penalty case.
Tsarnaev has pleaded not guilty to 30 federal charges.
The defense and prosecutors in court filings Wednesday proposed deadlines for each side to give the other pretrial material. The defense wants the government’s experts’ reports earlier. Prosecutors say both sides should have the same deadlines.
Prosecutors also responded to a defense request to allow Tsarnaev prison visits from his sisters without an FBI agent present. They propose substituting an agent who isn’t part of the prosecution team.
Prosecutors allege Tsarnaev and his brother placed bombs near the finish line of last year’s marathon, killing three people. The brother died after a shootout with police.
