Clouds and some rain, but no storm seen this week
MANILA, Philippines—No storm is expected this week, but skies will be overcast with scattered rains in the afternoon or evening, the state weather bureau said.
Easterlies, or warm, moist winds emanating from the Pacific Ocean, continue to affect Southern Luzon and Visayas, bringing general cloudiness over these areas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
From April 28 to May 4, the whole country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, with no tropical cyclone so far in sight, the agency said.
“Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and [winds] coming from the east to northeast over the rest of the country,” it added.
Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slightly to moderately rough, Pagasa said.
