DZIQ: UP professor killed in QC road accident

MANILA, Philippines—A University of the Philippines professor was killed Friday night when the taxi she was boarding was hit by a bus along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer.

A University of the Philippines professor was killed Friday night when the taxi she was boarding was hit by a bus along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, Radyo Inquirer reports.

The victim was identified by the Metro Manila Development Authority as Lourdes Simbulan, a journalism professor at UP Diliman.

The MMDA said that Simbulan’s body was brought to the East Avenue Medical Center by the Philippine National Police – Scene of the Crime Operatives.

According to the MMDA, Simbulan was aboard a taxi with plate number THX 352 when it was hit by a Universal Guidance passenger bus.
