SC reschedules oath-taking of new lawyers

MANILA, Philippines—The Supreme Court on Friday re-scheduled the oath-taking ceremony of the 2013 bar examination passers to May 5 instead of April 28.

Supreme Court Public Information Chief Theodore Te said the oath taking was moved to May 5, 2:00 p.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Te said the oath taking was reset to give way to the US President Barack Obama’s scheduled Philippine state visit on Monday.

He said there might be heavy traffic on areas leading to the PICC because of Obama’s arrival.

1,174 new lawyers are expected to take their oath.
