Ex-church leader nabbed for selling drugs

MANILA, Philippines–‎A former church pastor who was a listed drug personality has been caught selling a sachet of shabu by anti-narcotic agents in Benguet.

Delfin Andiso‎, 54, a former Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader in La Trinidad town was nabbed on Tuesday by the elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ‎during a buy-bust operation.

‎Arturo Cacdac Jr., PDEA director general, said in a statement Thursday that Andiso was one of the targeted drug personalities in the Benguet province for 2014.

‎Andiso was nabbed after selling a plastic sachet containing shabu, or methamphetamine hydrochloride, to the agency’s poseur buyer in an auto supply store in Pico, La Trinidad.

Authorities also seized the erstwhile pastor’s mobile phone and the P1,000 marked bill used as buy-bust money during the transaction.

Andiso will be facing charges for violation of Sale of Dangerous Drugs under Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
