Supreme Court spokesman Theodore Te announced that the high court has “indefinitely extended until further notice” the TRO , with the justices voting 10-4.

The four justices who dissented were Arturo Brion, Diosdao Peralta, Roberto Abad and Lucas Bersamin while associate justice Estela Perlas Bernabe abstained.

The decision to indefinitely extend the TRO was decided during the high court’s summer session in Baguio City.

This was the second time the TRO on the rate adjustment was extended after the high court had issued a 60-day TRO on Dec 23, 2013, and had extended it anew up to April 22 on Feb 18, 2014.
