Bernice Lee released after posting bail

MANILA, Philippines–Less than 24 hours after her arrest, Bernice Lee, sister of businessman Cedric Lee who allegedly mauled actor Vhong Navarro, was released from the custody of authorities Tuesday afternoon.

Bernice Lee posted a bail amounting to P12,000 for the grave coercion charges filed against her and six others.

Lee was arrested by members of the NBI at her West Green Hills residences in San Juan around 7 p.m. on Monday.

Judge Bernard Pineda Bernal of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 74 in Taguig City, in his decision, ordered the jail officer of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to release Lee.

Meanwhile, arrest warrants for her brother Cedric, model Deniece Cornejo, ‎co-accused Jed Fernandez, Simeon Raz and Ferdinand Guerrero are yet to be served to them pending their serious illegal detention charges–a non-bailable offense.
