Insp. Sunny Leoncito, Mlang police chief, said by phone that the victims – in their late 20s – apparently died of bullet wounds.
Each had multiple gunshot wounds to the body, he said.
Leoncito said the hands of the victims, who remained unidentified as of this hour, were tied with packing tape and their mouths also gagged with the same material.
“They might be victims of summary execution. We could not say, however, if they killed in the area or were just dumped there,” he said, adding that there had been no suspects as of yet.
The two cadavers were brought to the town’s funeral parlor.
Leoncito said the police were urging those who have missing male relatives to help verify the identities of the dead persons. Williamor A. Magbanua, Inquirer Mindanao
