Traffic starts to build up at toll plazas on Black Saturday
MANILA, Philippines – Vacationers took the opportunity to go back to Manila on Black Saturday as more vehicles lined up at major toll plazas before the Lenten break ends.
Hundreds of meters of vehicles were starting to line up at the toll plazas in the North and South Luzon Expressways, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said in its Twitter account.

As of 2:43 p.m., the line at the Ayala toll plaza on South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) reached up to one kilometer already, the TRB said.

Meanwhile, as of 2:30 p.m., the line of vehicles at the Dau toll plaza on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) reached almost a kilometer-long already, the TRB added.
The line at the Bocaue toll plaza, meanwhile, only numbered around 20 vehicles, it added.

Meanwhile, the traffic along the Subic-Cavite-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) remained light on both northbound and southbound directions as well as at the toll plazas, TRB said.

The TRB noted light traffic along the expressways on Black Saturday as holidaymakers get a headway back to Manila before the massive exodus starts on Sunday.
