Vacationers in Southern PH to experience rains
MANILA, Philippines—Going to Southern Luzon or the Visayas this Holy Week break? Your Lenten lull may get rained on according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The Visayas region will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms, Pagasa said Wednesday.
This is because of a low pressure area, a weakened tropical depression “Domeng,” located 80 kilometers east of Hinatuan in Surigao del Sur.
The rains and thunderstorms in Visayas may cause flashfloods and landslides.
By Thursday, the LPA is expected to be in Palawan after it has crossed the landmass of Visayas, Pagasa’s weekly outlook said.
