MANILA, Philippines—Riders of the LRT and MRT this morning were greeted by a unique map wrapped around the Holy Tuesday issue of Inquirer Libre.
However, if readers look closer they will see a “different” map. It is a special creative execution of Team Inquirer Libre designed to convey to train riders the message of Holy Week.
The red dots on the map depict the 14 stations of the traditional Way of the Cross. The lone caption in the map reads “Siya rin madugo ang biyahe.” (He too suffered in His journey.)
The creative execution was conceptualized AMP/Amon+Maneze & Partners, Inc.
Last year, Team Inquirer Libre treated readers and train riders with three creative executions.
On the eve of the Independence Day, a stylized tricolor together with a sun and three stars wrapped the Inquirer Libre issue.
The second was a stylized depiction the ‘Cry of Pugadlawin’ with the Katipuñeros shouting “We’re free” while raising folded copies of Inquirer Libre for the June 12, 2013 issue.
On June 19, 2013, a replica of the original cover Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere wrapped the Inquirer Libre issue.
The ‘stations’ map is also available for free in the Inquirer Digital Newsstand, download it here
