MRT operations disrupted anew
MANILA, Philippines–Operations at Metro Rail Transit stations have stalled anew on Tuesday morning due to broken railways, an official said.
MRT General Manager Al Vitangcol III said in a text message to INQUIRER.net that trains were only limited to traverse Shaw Boulevard station up to Taft station and vice versa.
“(The management has) implemented provision service at 9:35 a.m. using 8 trains from Shaw to Taft,” he said.
The temporary suspension was caused by broken rails between North Avenue and Quezon Avenue station that affected the deployment of trains to the succeeding stations.
As of posting time, intervention is still ongoing according to Vitangcol.
