MANILA, Philippines—Two more detainees who escaped from a jail cell at the Fairview Police Station have been placed back in jail, the Quezon City Police District announced late Thursday afternoon.

Joel Gurobot was arrested at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday in San Mateo, Rizal, while Richard Santos was surrendered by his aunt at 3 p.m. on Thursday to the station, said Senior Superintendent Ranier Idio, QCPD District Deputy Director for Operation.

Also re-captured by the QCPD tracker teams were Pedro Perez, Russel Catintay and Romulus Bagnate.

The four remaining escapees still at large as of Thursday evening were Severilio Soriano, Richard David, Ernesto Ramasanta and Alex Francisco.

Most of the suspects were detained for possession of illegal drugs, while others were arrested for various petty cases, mostly theft, malicious mischief and violation of city ordinances.

Despite the capture of the escapees, the QCPD Station-5 chief, Superintendent Edgardo Pamittan, was still relieved of his post.

Chief Supt. George Regis, QCPD director head, replaced Pamittan with Superintendent Froilan Uy through General Order No. 67, pending an investigation of Pamittan.
