Arroyo asks Sandigan to allow family in VMMC on birthday

MANILA, Philippines — Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo asked the Sandiganbayan on Tuesday to allow her immediate family a three day pass for her 67th birthday celebration on April 5.

In her urgent motion, she asked that her family be allowed to stay at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) from April 4-6.

“To commemorate her 67th, Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo fervently wishes and desires to be and spend time with members of her immediate family and relatives,” the motion stated.

Arroyo filed the motion after her request to go and spend her birthday in her hometown in Pampanga was denied by the Sandiganbayan.
