MANILA, Philippines – He still hasn’t decided on the case of dismissed Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadet Aldrin Jeff Cudia, but President Benigno Aquino III on Monday admitted that the institution is in need of reforms.
The President said he already read the initial report of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief General Emmanuel Bautista.
“Merong mga points na hindi natalakay doon sa kanilang investigation report. I reiterated that to General Bautista na kailangan itong mga points na nakita natin sa pag-i-interview kay Cadet Cudia and others including the PMA hierarchy. May mga kailangang i-ayos sa sistema,” Aquino said.

Aquino said he asked the AFP chief for a “roadmap” to eventually help improve the PMA.
While Cudia, who was found guilty by the PMA Honor Committee of violating the Honor Code, was not able to graduate with his batchmates two weeks ago, Aquino promised his parents another look at the case. He asked Bautista to head the investigation.
