MANILA, Philippines—Expect overcast skies over the weekend, especially in the eastern parts of the country, the weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said partly cloudy to cloudy weather would prevail over most parts of the archipelago at least until April 1.
In an advisory, Pagasa said easterlies, or warm, moist winds from the Pacific Ocean, were affecting the eastern section, bringing clouds over several regions.
“The entire archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section,” it said.
Pagasa declared this week the onset of the dry season, which coincided with the end of the northeast monsoon, which brought in cold winds from Siberia.
