Did you know: Trinidad Pardo de Tavera 89th death anniversary

Today is the 89th death anniversary of the late Trinidad Pardo de Tavera. Born on April 13, 1857, in Manila, he was a notable scholar, physician and propagandist. In 1899, he founded the newspaper “La Democracia.” He also served as a University of the Philippines regent in 1908 and director of the Philippine Library and Museum in 1923. He died in 1925 at the age of 67. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
