Man charged with stealing P10 key chain

For allegedly pocketing a key chain worth P10, a 35-year-old jobless man ended up behind bars and was charged with theft in Quezon City.

Gilbert Donales, a resident of Barangay (village) Pinyahan, was caught on Friday afternoon allegedly stealing a P10 key chain from an electronic gadgets store at UP-Ayala Land TechnoHub on Commonwealth Avenue.

According to a report from the Quezon City Police District’s Anonas station, sales clerk Mary Jane Virgo was manning the store when Donales came in and started looking at the items on display.

Unaware that Virgo was watching him, Donales allegedly took a key chain, quickly put it in his pocket and started to leave the store. The sales clerk, however, sought the help of security guard Edmund Gontinas who accosted the suspected thief. Jeannette I. Andrade
