Model Helena Belmonte wished ‘to slash her wrist and hope to die’

MANILA, Philippines—Weeks before her apparent suicide, Filipino-American model Helena Belmonte posted on her twitter account that she wish to slash her wrist and hope to die.

On Thursday, Belmonte was found dead, sprawled on the exhaust vent of an air-conditioning unit at the seventh floor of the tower in Pasig City.

Senior Superintendent Mario Rariza, Pasig City Police chief, told INQUIRER.net that Belmonte committed suicide.

In a column by Maurice Archache published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer Feb. 9, it mentioned that Belmonte’s boyfriend is art collector-businessman Marcel Crespo.
