MANILA, Philippines –Senator Sergio Osmeña III warned President Benigno Aquino III on Thursday that he might lose his “endorsement value” in 2016 if he would continue to be “hard-headed.”

Osmeña, an administration ally in the Senate, was among those who helped the President and some of his candidates when he ran and won in 2010.

And the senator said he did not regret helping Aquino then, “…because I felt he was the best candidate at that time, even now.”

“I wanted to do well, I wanted to do better but sometimes he is so hard headed. You know naman how hard-headed (the President is).  So what can we do? Tigas ng ulo e,” Osmeña said.

He then warned the President that he might lose his endorsement value in 2016 if he would continue to be hard-headed.

“Well, we can’t do anything. We were not going to overthrow him. However, he will lose his endorsement, much of his endorsement value in 2016,” Osmeña added.
