MANILA, Philippines – A lady that ‘‘resembles’’ Ruby Tuason was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) at least nine times inside the Senate building in the last quarter of 2008.

A report on this was contained in a memorandum dated March 10, 2014, sent to the Senate President by the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms, retired Major General Jose Balajadia Jr., in connection with the Senate blue ribbon committee’s probe on the pork barrel scam.

Balajadia said the report was just the first of their ‘‘periodic compliance with the order of the blue ribbon committee dated Feb. 13, 2014.’’

Tuason has been charged at the Office of the Ombudsman in connection with the scam but she returned last month to turn as a state witness. The Department of Justice has placed her on a provisional status in her bid to be included in the Witness Protection Program (WPP).

In his report, Balajadia said that on Nov. 17, 2008, the lady was caught on CCTV walking along the main lobby of the Senate at around 1703:13H (5:03 p.m.); exiting at the 6th floor elevator  at 1715:15H (5:15 p.m.) and walking away from the 6th floor elevator at 1715:17H (5:17 p.m.).

The lady was caught on CCTV again on Nov. 19, 2008, exiting the 6th floor elevator area at 1433:23H (2:33.23 p.m.); exiting the 6th floor elevator area at 1433:24H (2:33.24 p.m.) and leaving the Senate building using the main lobby at 1649:50H (4:49 p.m.).

On Dec. 18, 2008, the CCTV caught the same lady approaching the ground floor main lobby at 1542:15H (3:42.15 p.m.); securing an ID at the OSSA station post at the main lobby at 1542:54H (3:42.54 p.m.) and walking away from the 6th floor elevator at 1545:12H (3:45 p.m.).

Tuason claimed when she testified at the committee that she personally gave “commissions” to her co-accused, Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada, either in his office in the Senate or residence in San Juan.

Estrada vehemently denied the allegation.
