2 robbery suspects collared in Lapu

POLICE arrested two men who were accused of robbing two women in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, early morning yesterday.

Justin Abansilla, 20, of barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, and Roger Ruelo, 18, of Jagobiao, Mandaue City, were identified by the two women  as the ones who robbed them.

Benedicta Moreno, 21, and Flordelisa Tolentino, 33, said they were walking home around 5 a.m. when two men on a motorcycle robbed them at gunpoint.

The robbers took their cash, cell phones and jewelry.

The two women ran to the police to report the robbery.

About 30 minutes later,  police spotted the two men in sitio Mustang and arrested  them./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
