Second ID card found in pickup
A day after a bullet-riddled pickup was found in Taguig City, the police has uncovered more questions than answers.
On Sunday, policemen recovered a dark gray Mitsubishi Strada left on C-5 Road in Barangay (village) Pinagsama, just outside The Heritage Park. It was riddled with bullet holes but what puzzled the police was that it was empty and there were no bloodstains inside and outside the vehicle.
It was later discovered, based on an identification card found inside the pickup, that it was owned by Air Force TSgt. Pablito Igne from Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. According to Igne’s wife, unidentified armed men stole the vehicle from her in Quezon City on Feb. 3.
On Monday, Taguig police chief Senior Supt. Arthur Felix Asis said they found another ID card belonging to Sharrah Jane Belleza, 22, an employee of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. When contacted by the police, Belleza said the ID card were among the items she lost to thieves in a vehicle who snatched her bag in Parañaque City last March 6.
SPD director Chief Supt. Jose Erwin Villacorte, meanwhile, said the vehicle was actually originally registered to a resort in Olongapo, which turned it over to an insurance firm after it was wrecked in an accident. The company later sold the pickup to Igne.
