Fire hits residential block in Marikina
MANILA, Philippines–Fire hit a residential area before Thursday noon in Marikina City.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said in a text message that the blaze is still raging along Ipil Street and is placed under third alarm as of posting time.
Senior Inspector Romeo Pepito Jr., chief of the BFP National Capital Region Arson Investigation Section, told INQUIRER.net in a text message that the undetermined number of houses was made of light materials, causing the blaze to quickly spread.
