Fire hits residential block in Marikina

MANILA, Philippines–Fire hit a residential area before Thursday ‎noon in Marikina City.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said in a text message that the blaze is still raging along Ipil Street ‎and is placed under third alarm as of posting time.

Senior Inspector Romeo Pepito Jr., chief of the BFP National Capital Region Arson Investigation Section, told INQUIRER.net in a text message that the undetermined number of houses was made of light materials, causing the blaze to quickly spread.
