Manila RTC issues preservation order on Napoles assets, bank accounts
MANILA, Philippines—The Manila Regional Trial Court has issued preservation order against assets and bank accounts of Janet Lim-Napoles, her family and other names implicated in the pork barrel scam.
In a 20-page order dated Feb. 26, Manila RTC Executive Judge Marino M. Dela Cruz Jr., the provisional asset preservation order will be for 20 days.
The lower court issued the order upon a petition for forfeiture of assets filed by the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).
Also covered by the order is brother Reynald Lim, husband Jaime Napoles and children James Christopher, Jeane Catherine, Jane Catherine and John Christian.
Others included in the order are whistle-blowers and witnesses Benhur Luy, Gertrudes Luy, Simonette Briones and Ruby Tuason.
