Palace ecstatic over Fil-Am Robert John Lopez’ Oscar win

MANILA, Philippines— Malacañang on Monday congratulated Filipino-American composer Robert John Lopez for bagging the Oscar for the Best Original Song at the Academy Awards.

“We are very, very happy that Robert John Lopez, a Fil-Am, won the Oscar award for Best Original Song,” presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said at a media briefing Monday.

“We certainly congratulate Mr. Robert John Lopez, and I think his wife, for their collaboration in coming up with the song ‘Let It Go.’”
