MANILA, Philippines–The bodies found in the upscale Bonifacio Global City in Taguig belonged to a mother and child slain by a man possibly “out of jealousy,” police said Friday.

On the day of the discovery of the bodies of 30-year-old Jonalyn Gantiao ‎and her four-year-old child Gwenn Angel Thursday, the suspect, Gantiao’s live-in partner, was arrested by the police.

Senior Superintendent Arthur Felix Asis, Taguig City Police chief, said in a text message to reporters that jealousy drove the unnamed suspect to kill the mother and child, whom he left dead in a vacant lot along the southbound lane of C5 road.
