MANILA, Philippines—Expect heavy traffic in Manila tomorrow, Saturday, due to the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) walkathon and the start of the pyrotechnics contest in Mall of Asia, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman warned.

In an interview on Inquirer Radio 990 AM, MMDA chairperson Francis Tolentino said the INC would hold from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. its World Wide Walk in Manila, a charity event for victims of Super Typhoon “Yolanda” (Haiyan).
Tolentino said motorists should avoid Roxas Boulevard due to the event.

Another factor that would contribute to the traffic is the start of the annual International Pyromusical Competition in SM Mall of Asia, the MMDA chairman said.
