MANILA, Philippines–Authorities seized P307 million worth of illegal drugs in a Paranaque condominium turned into a “drug stock room” during a raid early Wednesday.
At least 75 kilograms of ephedrine and shabu, or metamphetamine hydrochloride, were recovered by the police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at the Sentosia condominium along Macapagal avenue in Barangay (village) Tambo.
Chief Inspector Roque Merdegia Jr., Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force spokesperson, said in a text message that the stock room of illegal drugs was reportedly owned by four Chinese nationals and four Filipinos, who remain at large.
It was allegedly operated by four Chinese nationals identified as Marvin Tan, Frederick Tan, Jhonson Co, and Jacky Sia Huang.
Their Filipino accomplices were identified as Richard Catungal, Fernando Alegre Dilima, James Garcia and a certain Emmy, with alias “Mingming.”
Two suitcases containing 20 shabu or metamphetamine hydrochloride packs, another 15 packs placed in a locker drawer, and one sack of suspected ephedrine weighing approximately 20 kilograms have been seized.
”The search was conducted in an orderly manner and inventory of drugs seized will (also) be conducted,” he said.
